Vision

We aim to bridge the gap between incarceration and being a successful restored citizen.

We want to help create a safer community by helping ladies successfully re-enter society.

We provide fun, pro-social activities, bible studies, book groups, and facilitate entrepreneurial skills training with our "You Matter" community service project while we live life together in healthy COMMUNITY. #bettertogether

We resource ladies with job development/life skills coaching, a safe housing opportunity, clothing, food, hygiene, and help meet needs that come up as they build their life after prison.

We encourage growing in our relationship with God. SUDDENLY PRISON MINISTRIES goes into correctional facilities facilitating chapel services and bible studies.

We work in partnership with the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (ODRC) and the Adult Parole Authority (APA) to receive referrals and to assist in the clients successfully completing parole obligations.

How it works

We engage incarcerated ladies through our prison outreach called SUDDENLY PRISON MINISTRIES with bible studies, chapel services, and groups. We screen potential clients by referral only through case managers, APA, chaplains, administrators and local prison volunteers in correctional facilities or addiction recovery facilities (if applicable). They apply and we interview. Once we've selected a client, we determine what is needed, and connect clients with local resources. Each client is provided a furnished rental opportunity with a code of conduct. We help to seek out jobs and maintain employment. Gwens provides addiction recovery/mental health counseling in partnership with The Center for Renewed Minds, weekly faith-based life skills coaching and peer support. We encourage spiritual growth through daily devos/ SOAPing and attending the local church, attending Starting Point, taking the strength's finder test and playing a part in volunteering. Our clients are typically able to successfully transition independently after 6 - 9 months.

More than a HOUSE

Our organization is more than just a HOUSE. We are a ministry that provides wrap around services to incarcerated ladies through their entire re-entry experience back to Stark County. We work along side all local supervising authorities to help the ladies have a successful community re-entry.
